Memories in Black & White

It was summertime in Montana. We arrived to the lush green mountains in celebration of a whimsical wedding on lake flathead (literally- on the lake in the ferry!). The trip was miraculous in many ways and a reminder of the simplicity and mystery found in nature. The week was filled with kayaking, long walks, cold water plunges, wedding festivity and a bike ride into Glacier. Peter and I had a few extra nights in town and hadn’t booked housing yet. We found a miracle poetic listing on airbnb- grain silos converted into homes! Clark Farm Silos is located near Glacier, Whitefish and Kalispell with an open field of wheat on each side. With an outdoor firepit, Peter cooked antelope meat a local hunter friend generously gifted us. We watched the light move across the mountains and lingered in the silence and solitude of nature. This memory was captured in black and white- I thought I had put in a roll of color film, but alas the Ilford 400 HP5 brings forth a nostalgic beauty to these sacred days of rest.
