the destination is not determined

but the journey is documented.

Bonjour!

Bio Hope Curran Lundblad is a multidisciplinary artist and poet based between San Francisco and Semur-en-Auxois, France. Receiving her master's degree from La Sorbonne in fine arts and international vision and a bachelor's honors degree from UC Santa Barbara, Hope has focused on the theme of home throughout her career. Leading various artist residency and retreat programs in San Francisco and Paris through partnership with Transform Arts has given her a global creative community. She and her partner Peter now live in the French countryside focusing on hospitality, craft, and community development through their project The Poetry Factory, sponsored through Fractured Atlas.

Artist Statement Hope is defined as the feeling of expectation and the dream for something to happen. My name has inspired a lifelong creative search for identity, community, and connection. Through installation and performance I cultivate spaces of home and hospitality in unlikely places. My research of HOME continues to take me to distant and intimate places to explore the personal, local and global aspects of belonging. The destination is not determined, but the journey is documented.
